About

36 years in the mental health field - in homes, schools, clinics and a variety of other settings - have given me the knowledge and insight to assist you and your family.

I have had successful experiences working with: children, adolescents, adults, families and couples experiencing behavioral adjustment problems and other life difficulties; developmentally disabled children, adolescents and their families.

In January 2005, I formed Macomb Mental Wellness Counseling in order to provide: behavioral analysis and behavioral intervention strategies for parents; coaching and mentoring; support to families à la TV's popular "Super Nanny"; an additional service is in-home and outpatient counseling and therapy for children, adolescents, adults and families.

As a clinical social worker licensed by the State of MI, I am required to participate in continuing education courses to maintain my license. This ensures that my knowledge base is current and up-to-date. Topics of classes and workshops that I teach for Chippewa Valley, Romeo, L'anse Creuse Community Education; Armada community Enrichment Program (ACEP) and Excel Institute of Shelby, include:

  • Reducing Meltdowns & Explosions (while teaching critical thinking skills at the same time!)
  • Self Control & Sensitivity: A Step-by-Step Plan to Encourage These Traits in Your Children
  • Good & Angry: A Positive Way for Busy Parents to Express Anger & Frustration Towards their Children
  • Say Goodbye to Whining & Other Annoying, Irritating Behaviors...with the One-Minute Behavior Change Plan
  • The Culture of Accountability: The Accountability Equation
  • How To Start A Culture of Accountability in Your Home
