Mark your calendars!  In celebration of our tenth anniversary, The Family Center of Grosse Pointe and Harper Woods is excited to announce a unique musical evening on Wednesday, October 6, 2010.  The choirs of Grosse Pointe North and South High Schools will perform with Caledon, Scotland's Tenors.  Proceeds from the concert will help support Family Center programs.

Caledon, Scotland's Tenors is equally at home inspiring the 55,000 soccer crowd at Hampden Park, with a stirring version of Flower of Scotland, or on the stage of the world-famous Sydney Opera House singing to a packed auditorium of music lovers. The group has also performed in front of Her Majesty The Queen and for UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.

The classically trained tenors, Alan Beck, Ivan Sharpe and Jamie MacDougall, along with musical director, Michael Barnett, have enjoyed sell-out tours of North America. Australia, Great Britain, New Zealand, Mexico, Japan, Malaysia and the European Continent and will be bringing their magic to Grosse Pointe with music from Burns to Braveheart to Rod Stewart and more.  Caledon was also featured on the P.B.S. special, "On A Beautiful Scottish Evening" which aired on 180 stations.

Caledon, Scotland's Tenors will also be conducting workshops for the two high school choirs and sharing insight into their years of formal musical training and performing.

Tickets are $20/person and available online or by calling The Family Center.

The perfomance will be general seating - no assigned sections are available in the auditorium.
